Working from home is not a new thing anymore, there are different advantages and disadvantages of it to everybody not only for the employees but also to their employers. Remember that working from home these days does not mean that you are only on your own. Many successful companies now let their employees work from home or they prefer hiring people (digital nomad, freelancers and others) who do not need to be in offices and love working from home. Here in the Philippines, many companies are already starting to integrate different work arrangements for their employees and work from home is one of those. One advantage of working from home is you will save most of your time on commuting from home to office. In major cities, this is a real time bummer. You can prevent the hassle of getting stuck in traffic and also you will not worry if you are going to be late in your office or getting there earlier than usual. Of course, this differs from person to person. 

The reason that some of the companies want to have a physical office is that they feel it offers better productivity and discipline to their employees but there are really good advantages when you work from home.

However, when some or all of you are working from home, there is only one person with whom you have to deal with everyday, there are no co-workers around. No mental pressure and you can work as freely and as creative as you like.

However, you need to make sure that you won’t take this for granted and miss out on your given tasks. Some of the companies don’t mind the number of hours you are working as long as you are getting all your tasks done. There are also some companies who prefer at least 7 – 8 hours of work everyday even in their own home. 
3. Working from home is cheaper –  There are no travel expenses, no expensive meals for lunch or dinner and no expensive clothes for the office. If you want, you can work in your sleepwear when you are working from home. Moreover, setting up an office at your house doesn’t cost that much.You can choose any room inside your home and turn in into an office. 
4. Less stress – Although pressure at work exists in any kind of work environment even in a home based one, it’s always less substantial that working in an office.You don’t need to rush out of your house to get to the office on time. No need to face some of your coworkers who you don’t like. Your stress levels will automatically lessen and you can give 100% to you work. 

Working from looks easy but it definitely requires a lot of hard work, discipline, productiveness and efficiency for you to get by everyday.
