In a recent Instagram story, the co-founder of Ascend Ecom, Jeremy Leung, wrote, “Amazon FBA is not a complicated business. For our hybrid model, we sell branded items from USA-based wholesalers that millions of people organically search for everyday, meaning no expensive advertising costs.” Online arbitrage trading via Amazon FBA and/or Walmart WFS has recently emerged as a highly lucrative means of passive income streams, but the expertise required to get into the business has kept many from taking advantage of the opportunity.
Jeremy is a political commentator and Democratic strategist who has worked as an advisor to the Foreign Minister of Australia Hon Julie Bishop MP for 4 years, traveling to different countries and meeting world leaders while working at the heart of Australia’s foreign policy. He has also worked at the non-profit organization American Australian Association for a year, helping raise money for Australian students to travel to the US and vice versa. He worked for 2 years at Cettire, which is Australia’s largest online luxury retailer that went public in 2019 on Australian ASX.
After the pandemic hit, Jeremy decided to start his own business. He created a store called Haus Hooga that sold luxury homeware online. In the span of just two months, Haus Hooga reached $100,000 in sales per month because of his expertise in Google SEO and Facebook ads. Soon he decided to apply his skills to a broader range of products. He found Amazon and Walmart as the best platforms for his peculiar interests and decided to start Ascend Ecom with Will Basta.
In a recent interview, Jeremy said, “I was amazed at how profitable Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS are, but after some research, I discovered that investing in this business can prove quite difficult for people who don’t have experience in retail. This was when I decided to create a company that offers Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS management for people who want to create a passive income so they can have more time for themselves and their families.”
At Ascend Ecom, Jeremy researches products to purchase them from other retailers and wholesalers. The company then prepares the products in a warehouse before sending them to FBA. He says, “Some clients sell over $100,000 a month depending on available credit lines. Also out of the warehouse, we fulfill a private label supplement brand that sells over $1m a month.”
He regularly posts about his everyday tasks at Ascend Ecom on his Instagram (@ecom.jeremy), and from the looks of it, Amazon FBA appears simple enough.
