Few Measures or Tips for Exam Preparation
Anywhere you have to enter, you have to enter through the door. Nevertheless you can enter only if the door is opened. You always knock or ring the bell for the door to be opened. Entrance Exams serve as the door to get into the best institutions, the students wish for.
Exams are conducted throughout the year for various sectors. We have JEE for entering engineering and NEET for medical colleges .GATE exams serve as the gateway for the students aspiring for Masters and Doctorate in Engineering and Science and also to get into PSUs.if someone wants to get into Management schools, CAT exam serves the purpose. Here we will look at some tips to face the GATE exam which will be conducted very soon.
Hunt through:
The very basic thing is to know all the details in detail. The first step after you apply for the exam is to go through all the details along with when, where about exam, how the marks allocated and what are the topics in the syllabus for the exam. Get in the mind the exam pattern and the syllabus and draw a rough framework.
Fix up a time:
Once the framework is done, a proper time schedule should be set up for studying the various topics in the syllabus according to the weightage of marks allocated. Give more time for the most important topics. When you fix the schedule make sure you stick to it and so take care that it is flexible and appropriate. Don’t forget to give breaks and perks.
Select best books:
After allocating the time to read, you should keenly observe what are you reading and from where are you reading. All these competitive exam question papers are prepared by highly experienced and skilled professionals from prestigious institutes. So you should make sure that you are reading the materials from good and renowned authors. Same with the case if you choose to read from online media. You need to take time on researching the quality of the medium and then utilise it.
Understanding the Concept:
Anything you learn, understanding the basic concept plays a vital role. Memorising never work in all these exams. Any topic you take, understand the concept involved. Once the concept is known, it becomes very easy to answer all analytical and technical questions in the exam. So spend a lot of time to understand out and out and you get ready for the exam out of out.
Practice and Revise:
Adhering to the saying,“Practice makes perfect”, you have to make sure you have to practice a lot so that the concepts are at your fingertips and any time you need to use the concept it should come out instantly at ease. So that you can solve any question in the exam. Keep on revising the topics even if you are sure that you know. It will help you to get everything retained in your memory.
Analyse:
Analysis is something one cant evade from the learning process. Once you learn you should analyse how much you have learned. For this you can collect various previous year question papers and subject wise question papers and take up the test. Also mock tests serve as the best way to do analysis and also to get prepared.
Don’t Panic:
Last but not the least is to take proper diet and proper rest to make sure you don’t fall sick during exam time. Don’t rush into doing things swiftly rather make sure you take one step at a time. Don’t try to learn everything at one sitting and end up earning nothing. Always keep your mind relaxed and at the same time focussed. Work hard but take the exam easily. Don’t get into fear or anxiety. Keep your mind and body healthy to get the best results of what you aspire for.
Conclusion:
It’s easy to get the required cut off in a GATE Exam if you really want to get into the technical field and get more knowledge. The same with the other exams if you have the passion and determination. Entrance Exams are blue funks only when you take up an inaccurate way or inappropriate methodology to enter. So it’s very important that someone should choose wisely the right door to knock to make the best use of your potential and skills.
