Google gives away $340 Millions as advertisers credits on Ad-words
From past few years, Some of the Start-ups and SMB’s got into limelight because of their good digital presence. These businesses are getting reputation by promoting their products or their brand through paid online advertising on Google AdWords, Facebook, insta and other social platforms as it takes long haul to get it through organic channels.
As the world is at Stake due to this corona pandemic, All the lives and communities have a devastating impact. Due to this, lots of these businesses has declination in their revenue and are at the edge of shutdown.
So as to give a hope, Google is offering $340 Millions as advertisers credits on AdWords.
Why offering credits to SMB’s?
Google stated that these small and medium businesses are the backbone of the communities. These businesses represent almost 90% of in comparison to all the businesses around the globe. According to the world bank, more than 50% of the employees are from these SMB’s. Due to the pandemic state around the globe, SMB’s possess a great challenge in facing the closures and declining revenues if they even try to protect and provide their employees. So, through the credits Google wants to give a hope and wants to alleviate some of the cost to make a better collaboration and stay in touch with their customers.
Google committed to give/provide $340 millions in the form of Credits to Small and Medium sized businesses (SMB’s).
These AdWords credits will starting to show in ads account during the process of next or coming months.
Apart from these credits, Google also coming up with a fund that will support the NGO’s and the financial institutions across the world which aids these small businesses access to the capital.
This was the announcement given on Adwords Support Page:
“SMBs who have been active advertisers since January 1, 2019 will see a credit notification appear in their Google Ads account in the coming months.”
As the announcement suggests that the Small or Medium Businesses who creates a fresh Google account will not be a eligible account for the credits they are offering.
The advertisers who are active before or since January 1st 2019 will be credited with an amount but there was no word on how much amount each advertisers account will be issued.
And the accounts should comply with all the Google ad-words terms and conditions.
Google Adwords account credits Expiration:
Whatever the credit that has been issued to your account should be used in this year i.e., 2020. Or else, it won’t be carry forwarded to the next year(2021).
Where can these ad credits be used?
If the account has been issued some credits, there raises a questions on where can we use these credits?
Credits can be used on all Google advertising platforms including Search, Display, and YouTube as well as all campaign types.
This is what the support page announced:

When will these be credited or available to the users?
According to Google these AdWords credits will not be available immediately to the active advertisers. And Google stated that this is a formal announcement & they are following-up with the process of credits disbursement now.
Google support page stated that:
“Advertisers receiving ad credits will be notified in the coming months. We are in the process of building these specialized credits into Google Ads accounts, therefore notifications will not show immediately. We appreciate your patience.”
