Which Things We Should Never Do While Traveling
When you travel, of course, you consider many things to make your experience better. But what about those things which you should not do in your travel? This blog covers those points. I’m on my family holidays in Morocco and writing you sitting in a local café in Marrakech. I see the weather of Morocco nowadays ideal for the people who want to explore the destination.
Don’t do these things when in travel:
Here are the top things you should not do while traveling. Follow them to make your travel experience the best one.
Don’t overpack:
Here is a very important element. You should not pack extra things which would have no use in your trip. For example, if you are traveling to the place for enjoying the beach. You should know that you only need little things to pack for that. Accordingly, you can use your senses. You also have the packing helping applications, use them and make your packing smarter.
Don’t Book too Early:
It looks that booking early is beneficiary but in fact, it is not. Last-minute packages are always which can benefit you with cheap packages and prices. You are suggested to go with the last minute offers.
Learn Somer Norms of the Place:
It would make your side safe. Learn about the norms of the place would not impact others that you are an alien. Learn little about the language they speak, know that what they eat, what they play, how they talk, etc. See the crime rate of the place and then be acting accordingly. Also, do some research about the threats there. Festivals would more interest you because you are going to enjoy it eventually. Don’t break the norms, it would affect you. If this is a Muslim country and needs you to cover yourself, nothing bad in it. Stereotypes aside, there are a lot of places in the world that welcomes you open-heartedly.
Budget trips should be Choosy:
You travel around the world and take a lot of luxuries. But if you are on a budget trip, you should have some choices which will suit you. For example, go for living in the Hostels or cheap hotels in the place, travel on public transport and eat on the nominal places. Top-notch restaurants and hotels are always expensive, so see if it is not your choice, choose what suits you.
Travel on Night couches, Trains:
Why? Because you can spend your night sleeping on your seat traveling to the other town or city. This would save your expense of staying in the hostels or hotels. Make a plan in which you can spend your nights traveling. I did this when I was in Morocco, France, and Germany. It is such an amazing thing to experience I would say.
Don’t travel only to popular Spots:
This is a very boring thing in travelers’ perspective. I, as a professional traveler now consider the popular spots not important for me to explore. I enjoy off the beaten spots in the world to explore. I see many travelers are now following the trend but you will find fewer people there. This is a real way of enjoying.
Don’t wander unethically:
You should know some ethics of wandering on the streets, taking pictures of the places and people around. This comes in a very basic thing that travelers should consider. I saw many westerner travelers in Arab and Asian countries reacting like dominants and don’t bother with any ethics. I suggest, you as a sensible and responsible traveler should follow the norms and ethics to wander on the Holiday spot. Everything is not as granted for you, you have to be careful and respectful.
Don’t try the Currency Exchange on Airports:
It is not a good idea to exchange the currency on the airports or from the main city centers, they would offer you exchange at high prices. Always go for the exchange shops which are not very known, but trustable of course. Don’t get theft there, be active and smart. I now in Marrakech, enjoying my holidays. It is a very secure and cheap metropolitan in the world. I could be able to make the change at very cheap prices here.
Don’t try ATM card Helpers:
It is a scam. If in your town, the ATM is not working, people would approach to get you with the cash you need. It is a help for you but in fact, this is a scam. Also, don’t try to buy carpet in Morocco, they are scammers and this is not in your favor. Mentally prepare yourself about the place if there is a high crime rate and the place knows about its scammers. Don’t worry at all. Enjoy your vacation.
